1.Poovaalur - About 4 kilometers From Lalgudi , Tiruchi district.
PalguniMuni Siththar Samathi is here on the rover named Palguni. When Muni wanted to do the last rites of his parents at Gaya and he is unable to go there, and Prayed to Shiva - Athimoolanaathar&Kungumanayaki to Bring Gaya here , Lord Shiva made the River Palguni Here and Muni made the Pithru Duties as in Gaya. This place is also called as Dakshana Gaya.
The river runing here is known as Dakshina Palguni. There is A trunk sree also here on the Banks. hence Shrartham can be performed here as in Gaya on the banks of the river near Samathi of Palguni Muni. It is said to be more significant.

Twin ganapathis in the Praharam was preyed by Durvasa Maharishi.
Seven Maharishis- Bargavar,Angrasar,Vashishtar,Kaasyaopar,Athreyar,Kowsikar,Gowthamar and their 70 Balamaharishis have made penance here and attained salvation.
Because 77 maharishis had stayed here, this also known as Gnansthalam,
Garlanding of Twin Ganesh, Doing Dhaanams to Poor,Poor feedings Theertha Snaanam all will bless the devotess with relief from all doshas and give sakala santhaana sampath.
Doing srarthas here,Doing Thrpanams here, Malayapakshams here will remove Pithru Thosham of the Karthas.
Meditation before DakshanaPhalkuni -in Phalguni Muni Sannathi on the Banks of the River will give Blessings From The Muni. On amavasyai days & pournami days this temple has crowded devotees performing tharpans etc on the banks etc., Annadaanam is done on all amavasais etc by many people.
