Ettiyathali is a small village 8 km from Aranthangi to Pudukkottai .The Agastheeswar koil here
has morethan 1000 years history behind it. When Agasthia maharishi returning to North after
visiting South end for balancing on the day of Shivas marriage , it becomes dawn at Ettiathali. Rishi started doing Sandyavandans etc. A Local King was returning after visiting Thirunallaaru for ashtama sani and when he saw maharishi , He prayed for his salvation from Ashtama Sani.
Agasthiar made lingam from sand and asked the King to construct a temple and worship here and the effects of saniswar will be reduced.king built temple.
In this temple amidst navagrahas one more ambal will be there seeing saneeswaran. She is akhilandeswari created by agastheeswar.
This is the first temple to visit
Thirukarugavur has become popular .This is second .here you will get sacred Ghee
Karuvalarcheri temple is near Patteeswaram and 1 km from Maanur. This also has history connected with Agasthiya maharishi and here you will get turmeric root and you have to use as per instructions.
Mother Sri Akilandeswari here is known as Karu Valarkkum Nayagi - the Goddess who blesses the foetus with growth. In other words, the Universal Mother in this temple gives the blessing of development to the foetus.
Thus this temple complements the famous temple of Garbha Rakshambika which is some miles from here. Mother GarbhaRakshambika is Karu Kaakkum Nayaki - the Goddess who protects the foetus. The Universal Mother in that temple givesthe blessing of protection to the foetus. Thus pregnant women get the blessing of growth at one sacred spot and the blessing of protection at the other.
Meditate on these two specific blessings that these two sacred spots give to expectant mothers. Just thinking about this, one should bow down in gratitude to the Universal Mother's compassion for us and Her meticulous attention to our varied needs.

The Swamis here have been installed by Rishyasinger maharishi who performed
puthra kameshti yaagam for Dasarathar, Amman is Lalithaselvaambigai -parabrama
swaroopi with sound,light and time - having all roopams. Adisankarar had darshan of
this temple .Sacred wooden Board with Beejaksharams written on that by Maharishi.
Beejakshara manthra palakai is powerful .
In Tamilnadu there are few temples where Dasaratha said to have performed Puthra
kameshti yaagam for child and all these temples can be visited for child.

Temple is situated where Vaippaaru and Arjuna river confluences. Irukangaikudi
altered as Irukkangudi. Arjuna River was created by Arjuna for Pandavas during

Hence if want to maintain this tradition without deterioration further we should contribute
maximum possible to the temples older in age, but lesser in resources. Kindly do paruhaarams
with that temples so that the vanishing mysteries may be revived.

Fourth Temple is Utharakosamangai
The history is as below
The antiquity of Sri Mangalanathar-Mangaleswari temple dates far back. Mandodhari (wife of Ravana) was very adamant that she would marry only a Shiva devotee and did not mind waiting for the choice. She prayed to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva, asked the sages in the Ashrams to take care of one of the Veda Script (Agamas) as He was going to grace Mandodhar and told them that He would take back from them then on His turning back. The Lord appeared before Mandodhari as a child. Ravana who came there touched the child knowing It was Lord Shiva. Lord tested Ravana by changing Himself as fire. All the places in the world were caught in the fire. The sages, unable to protect the book given by the Lord fell in the fire tank nearby (Agni theertham) and died.
But sage Manickavasagar courageously withstood the fire and saved the scripture. The Lord graced Mandodhari’s wish and helped her wedding with Ravana. The Lord graced Manickavasagar granting His Linga form. The sage is still in the temple in the Linga form. The Lord is a Swayambu Linga appearing from the Ilandha tree. This is the only temple having a Nataraja idol made of Emerald.

Putlur Poongavanathammn koil , Putlur Thiruvalloor
half a kilomater from Thiruvalloor Railway station.
Here is a Puttru.The Puttru itself in the form of Amman with Head and whole Body.Laying like
a Pregnant woman. Melmalaiyanur amman is as poongavanathamman here. Lord Siva/Parvathi
took rest near Trees and when shiva went for bringing water for Prvathi he caught in floods
at Koovam.Since he returned late Amman laid here itself.Lord siva is standing nearny.
