World Disability Day on December 3rd
Physically handicapped people are increasing day by day , particularly in India. Eventhough Polio has been declared disappeared due to Thrive by NGOs/Rotary and the Vaccinations etc - rare incidents have been appearing.
Instead amputations have increased manyfold in recent years in India due to Increasing Accidents and Diabetic Reasons.
Disability at younger age is very pathetic for resourceless persons. CP,MR,Autism etc are also increasing due to unknown reasons. Marriage within Close Blood Relation is said to be one of the reason. But Others also there.
The Readers are kindly requested to physically help the disabled whenever they have an opportunity to do. e.g: If u happen to see group of Blind help them to reach their destination. Nowadays very common to see Blinds on the Road. In fact India has the highest number of Blind people in the World.Provide them all possible assistances.
Nowadays it has become a passion to offer the complements in marriage/functions to a NGO doing service in the nearby areas.Newly wedded also has been developping habit of spending few hours in the Orphanages/ with Special Children and definitely their blessings will give all to those.
1. We shall spend important festivals with these children disabled. Sponsoring is not the necessity make them all happy is what they need.
2. We also campaign for sponsoring food/dress/contributions to such centers.
All shall not forget as per sayings of Upanishad - parents of special children/handicapped have hbeen selected by God to take care of those special children since God has faith only in those parents. It is not correct to say those parents have made sin to have such children
ASTROLOGICALLY SERVICE TO SPECIAL CHILDREN OR HANDICAPPED WILL PLEASE LORD SANEESWARA AND LORD GANESH & LORD SHIVA. THE SMILE/BLESSINGS FROM ONE SUCH CHILD WILL MAKE US LIVE FOR FULL LIFE WITH HAPPINESS.
While Sending such Contributions to Centers assisting them, Please visit the Center and confirm yourself of the service they provide and help. Dont get impressed by websites/advertisements/appeals etc. Our Help shall also be purposeful.
From myside I appeal to all visiting Kumbakonam area temples for parihaaram etc spare few hours to visit Thirucherai and apart from Temples there, Please visit SUDAR Trust run by Mr Dakshinamurthy in a small rented Tiled House.
Sudar Trust caters the need of about 50 children with age from 5 to 18 with all kinds of disabilities
from the nearby area. He is unable to get funds for effective maintenance and from his limited sources and with the assistance of few like minded volunteers doing the service of Teaching them, giving training for special children to self maintenance and providing them Break fast,lunch & evening tiffin. All the inmates are from Poor Families in nearby area.
Readers shall visit the Center and assist in possible manners ,if they are staisfied of their service.
In this Connection I wish to pint out one thing:
The Government has been doing magnanimously for this service.But the Schemes do not serve the purpose. If the District Collector/District Rehabilitation Officer/Assistant Rehabilitation Officer is interested in these activities till his tenure government aids reach the benefeciaries to some extent. But normally it is not so. If one visit the Collector Office-District Rehabilation Centers/Offices they can see the full pledged centers with machinery would be in non working closed condition.Similarly lots of Aids like Crutches, Tricycle,Artificial Limbs etc fabricated for the benefeciaries would also be kept stored as scrap somewhere there. these things are nothing but cruelty.the reasons for these things are formalities/red tapism etc prevailing everywhere.
