3      Thirunindravoor Hirudhayaaleeswarar Koil

        The Temple built by Poosalaar naayanaar in his Heart  day by day as per actual procedures.

         When Lord Shiva asked King to alter date for his temples construction since Shiva is going to

         Attend on the same day another Kumbabishekam – The Local King  surprised and enquired

         About the adiyaar for whom the Shiva appeared before the King in Dream. When King knew the

         Story of Poosalaar he offered to construct the temple as wished by Poosalar in his heart. The

        Karpagraha is in the shape of heart and this temple is for solving Heart problems.

        After obtaining Amutham Devas  were in  very  joyous mood  forgetting Lord Siva. To remind His

5.     Thirupalaivanam Thirupaaleeswarar koil Near Ponneri – very Old Temple  

              Thirupalaivanam: Siva temple built by Rajendra chola.


           The place Ponneri is about 33 kms from Chennai, and from there10 kms NE is                

           Thirupalaivanam.  Main Deity is Thirupaleeswarar and his consort known as Lokambikai amman in         

           different sanctum. Sthala Vruksham is Palai. Teertham is Amirtha pushkarani.

            Sthala puranam: When parkadal was churned nector came up and it was taken by devas                   

            for themselves. Anything that we have should be offered to God, so they made a linga from

            the nector, and they worshipped here.
             Importance: The Amirta linga here is worshipped with milk, rose water, curd and coconut    

             water.

           The Linga murthy is in white colour symbol of purity, nectar – blessing mryutnjayam -  eternality

           Big Temple.Tank. Asuras came in the form of  Frog to take nectar from the Tank Shiva gave saabam

           To Frog and Frog became standstill.  Even now Frogs can not be found  in this tank.

About 20 kolimaters from Vellore on Thiruvannamalai Road. Divertion at Kannamangalam or

Said to be birth place of Parasuramar. This place had once 1008 sivan temples and 108 vishnu

Renukambal is the mother of Parasuramar . She was beheaded by Parasuramar as per father jamathagni  instructions  and as per his wish when the head was rejoined  with the body of  servant maid.

While when Renukaambaal was doing service to Jamathagni one day, King karthaveeryarjun

Came to Ashram for capturing Kamadhenu with the Rishi and in the battle killed Jamathagni

Rishi. In grief Renukambaal killed herself by falling in fire .But due to the heavy rain Renukaambal

Got life with heavy boils due to the Fire.Because of this only Parasuramar took woe and destroyed

The whole kshtriya vamsa starting with kartha veeryarjunan who killed his father.

Both parasu raman 7 mother prayed to Shiva who gave life to Jamathagni muni and Shiva requested

Renukaambal to bless the people  by  staying there  as Renukaambal with her sirasu. This muthy of

Ambal is swayambu and had in her  Siva,Vishnu & Brahma.

Thirukolakka Osai koduththa nayaki amman koil near sirkazhi

PRARTHANAI   STHALAM  FOR  SPEECH PROBLEMS IN CHILDREN

Ambal name itself is Osai Koduththa Nayaki.

When Sambandar  was singing ,  making thaalams  with  his hands. The Siva gave Golden Thaalam

And Ambal  gave  sound effects to the  aroopa thaalam. The Sivan is known as Thaalamudaiyar here.

Ettiyathali is a small village 8 km from Aranthangi to Pudukkottai .The Agastheeswar koil here
has morethan 1000 years history behind it. When Agasthia maharishi returning to North after
visiting South end for balancing on the day of Shivas marriage , it becomes dawn at Ettiathali. Rishi started doing Sandyavandans etc. A Local King was returning after visiting Thirunallaaru for ashtama sani and when he saw maharishi , He prayed for his salvation from Ashtama Sani.

Thirukarugavur has become popular .This is second .here you will get sacred Ghee 

Karuvalarcheri temple is near Patteeswaram and 1 km from Maanur. This also has history connected with Agasthiya maharishi  and here you will get turmeric root and you have to use as per instructions.
Mother Sri Akilandeswari here is known as Karu Valarkkum Nayagi - the Goddess who blesses the foetus with growth. In other words, the Universal Mother in this temple gives the blessing of development to the foetus.

 Thus this temple complements the famous temple of Garbha Rakshambika which is some miles from here. Mother GarbhaRakshambika is Karu Kaakkum Nayaki - the Goddess who protects the foetus. The Universal Mother in that temple givesthe blessing of protection to the foetus. Thus pregnant women get the blessing of growth at one sacred spot and the blessing of protection at the other.

 Meditate on these two specific blessings that these two sacred spots give to expectant mothers. Just thinking about this, one should bow down in gratitude to the Universal Mother's compassion for us and Her meticulous attention to our varied needs.

Fourth Temple is Utharakosamangai

The history is as below

The antiquity of Sri Mangalanathar-Mangaleswari temple dates far back. Mandodhari (wife of Ravana) was very adamant that she would marry only a Shiva devotee and did not mind waiting for the choice. She prayed to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva, asked the sages in the Ashrams to take care of one of the Veda Script (Agamas) as He was going to grace Mandodhar and told them that He would take back from them then on His turning back. The Lord appeared before Mandodhari as a child. Ravana who came there touched the child knowing It was Lord Shiva. Lord tested Ravana by changing Himself as fire. All the places in the world were caught in the fire. The sages, unable to protect the book given by the Lord fell in the fire tank nearby (Agni theertham) and died.

But sage Manickavasagar courageously withstood the fire and saved the scripture. The Lord graced Mandodhari’s wish and helped her wedding with Ravana. The Lord graced Manickavasagar granting His Linga form. The sage is still in the temple in the Linga form. The Lord is a Swayambu Linga appearing from the Ilandha tree. This is the only temple having a Nataraja idol made of Emerald.

  All temples where Agastheeswarar sametha Akilandeswara Sannathis are there
  Where the Ambal name consisting "karu or kar or bala" ,where the Lord siva
  name contain " mathru" , where the God/Goddess name contain " janma" janam".
Our Tradition and History is the eldest in the universe and we have the history of recently
built temple only and many oldest temples have vanished in the course of time.
Hence if want to maintain this tradition without deterioration further we should contribute
maximum possible to the temples older in age, but lesser in resources. Kindly do paruhaarams
with that temples so that the vanishing mysteries may be revived.
When Amerikan President visited Ango Vart the biggest temple Complex excavation in cambodia , he informed that the visit was his life ambition. You know Tamil King Manimaaran is the creator
of that temple complex long long ago which has all life size statues of Hindu Gods.

AMMAN KOILS - PARIHAARA KOILKAL


Because of recently developped part of the City, people may think that the
Dieties are comparatively  new and has no history behind. 
While opening the railway station - Palavakkam/St Thomas Mount itself
there was an idea of naming the station as Nangai Nallur since from the records it is known that the name of this small ancient  hamlet  is nanganalur.But becaue of then local residents resistance could not be done. Pachaiamman and rajarajeswari are the ancient ammans in small
temples and grown bigger now.
Devotees may think Chennai itself as a new city with new temples.
But actually Saithaapettai is Seethaapettai. Parangimalai is Bringi malai where Bringi maharishi had ashram
Thiruvanmiyur is the place where Rishi Vanmiki Ashram was there . Seethathevi in exile after sent out by Ramar was said to stay here in Vamniki Ashram. Chennai has many old temples, places  as a mark of Seethadevi staying, Lava Kush playing ,Ramar movements with Anjaneyar etc. 
Ramaavaram/Nandambaakkam are the areas where Ram/Anjaneya
walked through . Koyambedu is the area where Aswam of Rama was tied
by Lav/Kush/ Kurungaaleeswar Temple the lingam was made by hand of
Childrens Lav/Kush for removing  Dosha - having fought with Lakshman  .

sampathksl(peru) Sanganithi/Pathumanithi are there in the entrance.

same row facing same direction.

2.THILLAI KAALIYAMMAN KOIL, CHIDAMBARAM

t was an argument that who is superior, either 'Shivam' (Lord Shiva) or ‘Shakthi’ (Goddess Parvathi). In order to resolve thus, they performed a dance program at Chidambaram in front of Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma and Points. While they were playing dance, Lord Shiva was about to be defeated. But knowing fully well Lord Shiva played on "OORTHAVA THANDAVA" i.e. raising is leg above his head. This "OORTHAVA THANDAVA" is one of the posture in the dance. It could not be played by the women folk due to their modesty and shyness. In this Goddess Parvathi could not equally play this posture and agreed her defeat and she was go to the extreme end of the town. In order to contain her haughtiness and to teach a lesson that “Shivam & Shakthi” both are important in our life.

“Mother Shri Thillai Kali Amman” is a deity in anger. This anger was pacified by Lord Brahma by Chanting Veda and also praising her. Because of the penance of Lord Brahma 'Mother Thillai Kali' became Cool. So that Goddess 'Thillai Kali Amman' in this temple seems with four faces. Stone Inscripts : The Hindu 'Choza' periods are represented in the inscriptions in this temple. This temple about construction in the regime of 'King Kopperunsingan

The temple is near Chidambaram Natarajar Koil and in the city.
there  are two ambals - thillai kaaliyamman - Ukra kaali and Thillaiyamman - a Santha swaroopi.
Both ambaals ate varaprasadi. Maham amd Swathi star special sthalam. 
Actually one may think of dancing at chidanbaram by Natarajar only but actually Both Natarajar & Shakthi danced here with Brahma and Vishnu as  audience cum umpires.Sthalam for sakala thosha nivarthi.

3. VISIT OF THREE TEMPLES IN SAME DAY WILL GIVE SAKALA SOWBAGHYAMS IN LIFE.

   a Thiruvotriyur vadivudaiyamman , Thirumullivayil kodiyidaiyamman and
       Meenjur Melur thiruvudainayagiyamman koils. If one visit these three 
       temples in same day and that too - Fridays combined with Pournami or
       will have more effect.
                 Thiruvottiyur is place where pattinathaar attained siththi.  
       where  kugiliya nayanar born and where Sundarar marriage took 
       place. Linga murthy is swayambu.
                 Thirumullaivoil temple was built by Kanchi King Thondaman after
       killing two demons Onaan, Kaathaan and with Nandhi given by Loed  
       Shiva itself.
                  Melur(Minjur) Temple - Once Richman saw his cow pouring milk
       on a putru with a lingam nearby.He wanted to build a temple and Got 
       a Stone from nearby Hill and while bringing the sone the stone fell
       down and broken into 3 pieces. As per the wishes of the sculpture
       the three stones were made 3 ambals of  identical size,shape etc.,
       These three swayambus are are at Thiruvottiyur,Thirumullaivoil and 
       at Thirumelur.
       As per wishes of the artist - These Three Ambals giving all wealth and
       pleasures if one visited them on Fridays combined with Pournami.

        in kadambathurai and Rathnagireeswarar  at Rathnagiri - all near by

            Thirueengoimalai is the place where Agasthiar worshipped Shiva in

Here is the history of sakthi peetams                 

Everybody knows Dakshan and his Yaagam without invitting Lord Shiva - his only son in law and Shakthi daughter of Daksha and wife of Shiva got angri and shouted at Daksha and because of Daksha's insulting words about Shiva - Shakthi fell in Yaga Kundam and engulfed by the Fire.
Lord Shiva got angry and taking the Sakthi from the Fire ans holding her above head performed Ruthra Thaandavam .The whole prabancham was shaking and dancing.Devas  prayed to Vishnu who aimed his chakrayutha on  Shakthi and the Body of Shakthi blown into pieces and dropped in earth at various places. The Shakthi either in aroopam or roopam at the places where parts, ornaments fell are known as Shakthi peetams.
Many list of Shakthi Peetams - 16.32,64,108 etc.,
The Places where saint Adisankara placed MeruChakram/SriChakram are also called Shakthi Peetams.
