Chinnakaavanam  Nootretteeswarar Temple:

When Agasthiar was instructed By Lord Shiva to Pray here with 108 lingams

Made out of Aarani riversand here , immediately Agasthiar made such Lingam and worshipped as Ashtotheeswarar which mean Nootrettu Eeswarar.But since he started the process without praying to Lord Ganesh, Vinayakar  had made all the 108 lingas to  consolidate into a swayambu roopam which is now there as Angola Vinayakar . Angola is the Sanskrit name for Azhinjal Tree – fruits fell from the tree will go and stick to the tree itself.That is the speciality of the tree.

This Vinayaka is special as this has been mentioned as angola ganapathy in sivananda Lahari by Bagwan ADisankara and mentioned by Maha periyavar in his Deivathin Kural. Infact Maha Periyava has worshipped here. Sankadahara Sathurthy ans specially coming in Maasi month is very special here. Murthy is Swayambu and combination of  Ganesh and  Shiva.

Varaprasadi  and here people used to offer vadaimaalais to the vinayak.

Munnoor - Sri Adavalleeswarar / Brukan Nayaki Ambaal Koil

Munnoor  means muthanmaiyaana ,Ellavtrirkkum  munnaal  ulla oor.

Very old place with more than 2500 years history.Booloka Kailasam worshipped by maharishis – swayambu murthy & Theerththam. Constructed by II Klothunga Cholan and also Pallava regime. Thaarukaavanam – designed by Paaravathi thaayar for the worship of the Lingam by her. Bramma Theertham, Vanni Maram sthala vriksham. There is a Guru Sannathi facing South which means this is guru parihaara sthalam. There are 52 culverts stating about this temple and place.

Thirupulivanam ,Vyakrapaathapureeswarar koil near, Uthiramerur

Very old Temple belonging to  Dwarapayugam , where Rishi Vyakrapaatha munivar worshipped here with his wife.All the Places - with the prefix or suffix “Puli “ will have connection with Vyakrapatha maharishi.This place is said to be jeeva samaathi of Rishi Vyakrapaatha Rishi. His samathi is said to be in Karpagraham.

Once there is a kurukkal here who used to send the swami’s garland to the king daily. One day , when the King saw a hair in the garland , Archakar to avoid punishment informed the King that there is hair in Linga meni of God.While the King checked the Moorthy the Swami appeared with “ Kudumi” to the King.Even now we can see that shape in the moorthy. Ambaal is Amirthakujaambaal  curing all deseases. Vyakrabathar darshan in simmadakshnamurhty  roopam. Very rare. Dakshnamurthy with pathanjali muni,vyakrapaathar   having left foot on lion and right foot on muyalakan. Special Temple for Simmaraasi to give Rajayogam for them.
