THIRUKKADAIYUR

         Recently we had been for attending Sashti Abth Poorthy of a Relative at Thirukadaiyur  

 Certain Things are not being done as it should have been done. 
 All these happenings were of recent developments , cultured in 50 or more years by the Priests
 there.
 My father used to tell me long back one or two parties perform These Functions there .
 In due Course most of the people who can afford money and the persons nearby used to shanthi homams
 including ayush homams there.
 Thirukkadaiyur Temple has many uniqueness & specialities. Kalasamharamurthy & Amirtha Kadeswarar
 are the two Sivans each having speciality of its own. Amirtha Kadeswarar is the Main diety behind  Kumbakonam legendary history , amirtham,kadam,incarnation of mahalakshmi, the history of mahaamaham 
 and all such ancient legends related to Kumbakonam.
 Please all devotees shall ponder over how these shall be maintained with sanctity.
 The Group of Priests - we do not know how spoiled the sanctity.
 1. As per Agama Sastraas as far I know - No Homam shall be performed inside the Temple Premises 
     with the Personal Names/Family welfare etc.,In Temples only the Lokakshemaartha Homams shall be 
     only performed.But now they are doing the following against the Temple Norms.
      * The Homams are performed beyond expctations in numbers daily within the Temples - Inside                        Praharams at all the possible places, gaps , not less than 50 homams per day at Sivan temple,
         and 40 homams in Ambaal temple. the pity is the Charges will be at an ascending order when we
         prefer the homam nearer to the Diety. This proves that the whole organising is of more commercial
         motive since there is no consideration of seniority in booking while alloting the Space for Homam.
         Only Money is considered or alloting the space nearer to God / Diety etc.,
         It is highly becomes difficult, for normal devotees , to worship God, highly impossible to do 
         Prathakshanams among the Function People all through the day.
         
      * Furthermore The Prahaarams have been converted into small enclosed dress changing places
         after Kalasabishekams for the couples. Since the priests could attend to the couples & group only
         regular visitor finds it difficult to worship without any disturbances.
         Once Again The Kalasa Theerthms from The Homams, if performed , inside temple shall only be
         showered on Dieties as per Agama. But The kalasa Theerthams were poured on the Function couples.
         These make the whole Praharams slippery with water all along the Floor.
         These  are the things at both the Sivan & Ambal Temples.
  
2.  Few Years Back ordinary layman will do with Rs 5000/- The Shashtiabthapoorthy there. But even the
     simplest manner they charge minimum Rs 15000/= their charges excluding accomodation/food which are
     not also to the standard or not worth they charge. In my previous visit there, they offer good food.
     but not this time. We have been there on Amavasyai day and the food offered by them  contained                  Onions,Drumstick etc. They have failed to follow their ethics also. ( Including Everything for a croed of
      30 persons it cost minimum 30000/= in all)

3.  Pandits shall clear my doubts from when the practice of  " marriage like function" used to accompany
     Shanthi Homams like they perform. They Charge for Seer Pakshanams - once again not worth they              charge. 

All Hindus must know These Shanthi Homams - for self and family - shall be and shall only be performed
in Houses where the Kartha reside. The Homams/Vibrations/Smoke all shall be beneficial to the Couple and
and the attendees and be within that place. That is the Practice. Wedding like function not needed as per agama and this Lougeekam origin not known.
Not Against Temples. We can worship and do archanas on any janma nakshathra day in the these Temples.
God will be with us always and it is better in all aspects to perform all family functions in our home or 
community halls unless otherwise we have made any prarthanais for doing in Temples.
